Take a Hike!!

Today I tried something different and new in my workout routine, I took a hike around the lake at my job!  A coworker, a student and I walked/hike a total of 2.3 miles.  It was a great way for us to enjoy 90 degree weather in March...in Kentucky!  After being in the office all day it was nice being outside and switching up my workout.  The elliptical gets a little boring after a while.

This is an actual picture of the lake that I walked around today, Eagle Lake in Morehead, KY. The only difference is that it's not this green yet.  It was so peaceful and really gave me a great sweat.  I'm hoping to make many more trips around this lake. I was a great way to end the day!

Purging the Purse

I'm not a woman that changes purses to match my outfit so things tend to "gather" in my purse.  I don't know about you all, but I kept a lot of crap in there just weighing me down.  Tamera of Get It Girl Style does these posts called BAGGIN where people show the purse that they're rocking and what they keep in them. I got the idea to do something similar.

Last night I cleaned my bag and thought that I'd share the results with you...lets just say my back felt a lot better today.

The Purse
...it has not life when there's nothing in it!

The Chaos

Just look at how much junk I was carrying around with me everyday!

Really!? Where's Your Business At?

Meet the cast of Basketball Wives L.A.  As I'm catching up on the past episodes of this season, I'm realizing that these women are so messy.  So claim to be Christian women, but the way that they dog each other is killing me!  What happened to minding your own business?  I understand wanting to protect your image and save your "boo" some embarrassment, but the group of women that I kick it with don't feel the need to be this extreme in "protecting the sacred circle."  What you did in your past has nothing to do with me.  So long as I'm not a witness to you doing dirt now, I don't care what you do.  Sorry ya'll I just needed to vent.  These women are show not the image of what I want my nieces looking up to.

What TV "reality" show just drives you up a wall?

Defining My Style

So after browsing through my favorite magazine, People's Style Watch, I came into the office ready to start seriously looking into what my design aesthetic is.  As I prepare to live on my own for the first time, I have complete freedom to design my space how I want.  I have absolutely nothing, not even hangers, so I am working with a blank canvas!

After talking to a new coworker...btw, I convinced her to start a blog!...and reading a post by La Dolce Vita, I am able to define my style.  I like simple classic styles with a twist, more like a pop of color and vibrant patterns.

Having a stylistic point of view helps me to find inspiration in anything.  In reversing what Inez did in her blog here, I can design a room based on what I like in fashion!  Another blog that has inspired me creatively is Made By Girl.  More specifically she featured a blue, orange, and white living room in one of her posts.  This room has inspired me to use this color pallet for my bedroom.
