The Pretty Kitty Experience

Something that I've been wanting to try for a while is a wax "below the belt."  I have a friend that gets a waxed regularly who's been trying for about a year to get me to get one too.  After another friend challenged me to get one I decided What the heck! I have one life to live.

Thanks to the beautiful people at The Pretty Kitty of San Diego, I was able to get my first waxing.  I had to work myself up to it by asking a million questions.  After they were answered, I closed my eyes and did it.  It was painful at first, but it went away quickly.  We'll see what will manifest in the next few weeks.  Considered it off the The To Do Before I Die list.

Do we have any other brave women waxing "below the belt"?

Confessions of my Inner Fat Kid

So although I've been doing fairly well on Weight Watchers (WW), I've been having a lot of cravings for sweets lately.  It could because I've cut them out signifigantly or Mother Nature has the worst timing.  Either way here goes my confession...

I'm excited for tonight's chocolate cake and ice cream!

This may sound strange for some, but I'm not a chocolate person and for me to be more excited about the dessert thant he actual dinner is just a "fat kid" moment.  I don't mind it beacuse it doesn't happen that often and when it does, I tend to handle it very well.  I get my fix and I move on.  The only thing that's causing me to be a little more cautious is that I've got this craving right before Thanksgiving.  Although I'm not going home, I have been invited to a few home where a healthy Thanksgiving isn't an option.  I just need to stick to the tip with my WW Weekly so I'm not going to gain too much...I won't be weighing in until next week so fingers crossed.

What's your inner fat kid craving?

BULLS-EYE!

So the Riffling team at the university I work at held a Turkey Shoot today.  Aside from wanting to support the students, I like shooting guns thanks to trip to the gun range with some friends.  Everyone one who participated paid a $1 for each card that had two targets on it...I got 7!  I was really excited because I've never shot a riffle before.  So on my first shot was terrible and I hit nothing but empty space.  The next shot...BULLS-EYE!  After that I got a the next closest ring, but I went completely downhill from there.  I had a great time and can't wait to go to the gun range with my dad and uncles over the holiday break.

How do you feel about guns?

BDIB: Animal Instincts

I've been following Kristina at Pretty Shiny Sparky for about 6 months.  She has created different fashion challenges called Bloggers Do It Better that takes place every couple of months or so.  I've been wanting to participate for a while, but for one reason or another I wasn't able to.  Well not this month!  The current BDIB is all about animal prints.  Although I've been without a camera since moving to Kentucky,  I was able to get a coworker to take a few pics on her fancy iPad.  Here's how I showed my "Animal Instinct!"

 What I wore:
 Cardigan & Flats - Target
Tank -Walmart
Jean Shorts - Gifted
Jewelery & Scarf - Forever 21

How do you think I did?
